COVID-19 update

Last updated June 30, 2020

Rittenhouse Square remains open to the public and we encourage patrons to follow CDC guidelines when visiting The Square. Philadelphia is still in the yellow phase of reopening, so staying home is crucial, but a dose of nature can improve your mental well-being during these tough times.

In order to protect yourself and others, please:

  • Stay home if you have a fever or show any symptoms of COVID-19

  • Wear a mask

  • Maintain 6 feet distance from others

  • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before you leave home

  • Use a tissue or sleeve to cover your nose/mouth when coughing

  • Do not touch your face with unwashed hands

  • Avoid social gatherings and activities that require close contact

  • Exercise alone and maintain a social distance when running by others

The Friends of Rittenhouse Square and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation continue to monitor developments of COVID-19 and follow the latest guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and City of Philadelphia.

Community Involvement

Now more than ever, it is important to come together as a community. Here are a few ways you can stay safe and still be involved and enjoy the benefits of our beloved Rittenhouse Square community.
